The beat I had heard.

Was the beat of each paw, each hoof, each foot,

Each flap of a wing

They gathered around the old oak tree.

And stood in place stamping continuing the beat.

And then as one they stopped and broke out with cheer after cheer.

Each one had come in celebration of victory.

Each carried joy in their hearts.
