- Epstein told JPMorgan legal counsel that prominent names could vouch for his character. “Go talk to Bill Gates about me,” Epstein said at one point.
- Epstein told a JPMorgan chief executive he managed money for the Rockefellers.
- A 2003 JPMorgan internal report put Epstein’s net worth at about $300 million. The report, which hasn’t previously been disclosed, noted that Epstein’s occupation was advising wealthy individuals like Leslie H. Wexner, the billionaire operator of brands like Victoria’s Secret and the Limited. However, bank documents at the time did not list any other clients.
- JPMorgan also provided financial backing for alleged Epstein co-conspirator Jean-Luc Brunel who allegedly trafficked victims via his MC2 modeling agency.
- Former JPMorgan executive Jes Staley said in a deposition that a parade of Epstein referrals included Gates, Elon Musk and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, an Emirati billionaire, but not all became clients.
- JPMorgan also took Ghislaine Maxwell on as a client per Epstein’s referral. Epstein later transferred millions of dollars into Maxwell’s JPMorgan account, including $7.4 million to buy a green Sikorsky helicopter to fly people to Little Saint James.

- Staley disclosed confidential information to Epstein including that JPMorgan was working on a deal for the Pritzker family, and he detailed the bank’s talks with the Federal Reserve about how to stabilize the financial system.
- Epstein urged Staley to embrace China, perhaps by moving some banking operations there. He arranged for Staley to get “a quick tutorial” about China from an Oxford-educated expert.

While the West slept, enjoyed their morning lattes, negotiated peak-hour traffic and considered their Uber-eats dinner options, a humble, land-locked nation to our north burned.
30 years in the making, what began as a student protest, within a single day, ended with the torching of the capital and the capture of a Prime Minister.
A new Nepal will arise from the ashes.
Like many Asian governments synonymous with corruption, Nepal has suffered the loss of Tibet to China and its meagre resources exploited by a so-called democratically elected government.
Education outcomes are poor, development has been slow and the military is financed by China and India while its leaders grow wealthy. It is however the home of the Himalayas, Mt Everest and the legend of Big Foot.
Quietly simmering though, has been discontent brought about by the ever-increasing access to social media, internet networks and a generation hungry for change.
Those families who have supported their offspring to study abroad at universities here in Australia and elsewhere have been rewarded for their sacrifices and the new breed Nepalese, astute, educated and world-wise created the perfect storm.
Gen Z responded in protest on Monday when the government began a threatened social media ban.
They took to the streets in their thousands with banners and met with government sanctioned military forces with guns and ammunition.
By the end of the day, 19 young people had died, many high school students in their uniforms. In the evening the military patrolled Kathmandu, now under curfew, interrogating families, forcing entry to homes, incarcerating the innocent, smashing communication devices and beating constituents.
When the sun rose today, Tuesday, the revolution began and by sundown, the Prime Minister had resigned and was captured attempting to escape to Dubai or China, the Parliament had burned to the ground, the Cabinet ministers, their homes aflame, fled the country by helicopter, the International airport was blockaded and shut down and the airwaves scrambled by drones.
The Hilton Hotel was set alight, with people trapped on the roof, lives were lost in the incineration of the Parliament, collateral damage.
The Gen Z revolutionaries began by protesting government corruption and managed to overthrow a government. All in one day. Their future uncertain, the population now speculates what lies ahead while China eyes Nepal’s most valuable natural resource, the water flowing down from the Himalayas.
And Gen Z’s entire campaign was facilitated and escalated on Facebook, public broadcasting digital networks and various social media platforms, skirting the authorities via VPNs.
Within a mere 5 minutes of posting, messages to mobilise had reached 15000 phones. The level of controlled response to calls to alms was immediate and pin-point accurate. The response was swift and successful.
Within 15 minutes of a post appearing calling for the burning of the Hilton, purportedly owned by the Prime Minister’s son, the hotel was aflame. Within two hours of a post’s appearance every cabinet minister’s home was alight.
And by early afternoon the government had fallen.
It’s a sign of the times that a likely candidate to lead the nation’s rebirth is a musician and a rapper, the Mayor of Kathmandu, a man of the people.
New ministers will be elected on merit, and the future is bright. The UNHCR has officially condemned the former government for its
massacre of young lives and called for an official enquiry. Former corrupt ministers will be tried and convicted mercilessly and a new Parliament will be built.
And hopefully those young lives lost will not be in vain. The world is experiencing unprecedented unrest, and warfare over territory is protracted and costly; trillions of dollars wasted and hundreds of thousands of lives sacrificed. But in the space of a mere 24 hours, Nepal’s Gen Z has mounted a revolution and overthrown a government, armed with nothing more than a social conscience, social media and the Internet.
