I always do the declarations privately before doing them at the gates this way they are done pure not diminished by another or others so on the day they are ALREADY DONE I am simply reaffirming at the gate

Sandra and Sony around spent a delightful afternoon with them. Sony is Tühoe he tells me Tühoe is Nga Puhi Tekana and that the tribes are one and the same. Learnt the people are looking for a different type of leadership than what has been so far. Sony taught so it was a wananga and I had been taught by Tühoe after all.

Sandra, I, and Sam drove sedately to Teka Kara. There was no rain and although muddy on the high road, we managed to get the car by the Whare. Waiting at the gate was a small shell purse with $23.80 in it. Sam picked it up and Sandra said Sam was being paid for his services. We went to the circle and offered our gifts then set up the whare kai and whare moi.

The fire was going the soup on and the candles lit. The others were to arrive at three but got there at 5ish bogging the truck on the last hill before arriving. We all walked up, I helped Heather to get her truck going, and she parked it by the bottom near the whare without going onto the whare grounds. Sandra called them on and I joined them to walk in again.

The group felt wrong it did not jell but this is what was delivered to us and so we moved forward, after the others had left their gifts. We organized dinner, which were Nettie Anne’s sandwiches and the soup. Everyone shared their whakaro. Heather beautiful haraki, Nettie UFO and Rangi new age drum connection to Indian culture. This New age energy was inhibiting the energy. Sang at the pöe, Sam beat the drum and he moved it with wairua no doubt. I was able to chant and waiata was sung.

9 pm Declaration for the uniting of all indigenous peoples around the world and that Maori stand up and be the heart beat of this. A lot of giving thanks.

Slept and dreamed of John and a woman coming to me and saying I had got Johns intentions wrong and that he was genuine (NO  WASN’T) Realized why I didn’t want to go I was not meant to make anymore declarations in front of these people  – talk about stressed to the max and the marae had been attacked prior with the bird under the mattress. Drive home Sandra and I discussed what had occurred and it is same as in Auckland others kaupapa different to that which is there. New Age and a Mäori representing the indigenous. But we did what we went for and so we laid down the burden of this down and focused on what we had gone out for and what we were walking into in the future.

Sandra said she was going to take me up to Pereme so I called him and he said Friday. As he also told me that Te Arta’s Moko had flown in from Australia and that the family was gathering. Te Arta would not be long in this world.

Nettie called early evening sure enough the girls had been bogged and she made comment that Heather and her had discussed me and that Heather had said I had changed a lot. I replied I had because I had lost a daughter and BEEN PERSECUTED. My travails had been many and that changes a person but I reminded Nettie of the hit Pereme had had and how concerned I was over this.

I also stated that my responsibilities made a difference as they were about the nations and peoples and this was far from the everyday concerns of most.

To my self I thought of the preparation I was going through had gone through and what it had birthed. I knew I was about to lead in a different way now one which would see me out front I knew that it would not change me walking behind and supporting from the rear or walking ahead and opening the way but now these two things were going to meet in the middle.

I had just opened the way for the unity globally and the world treaty. I would hold this now until it was done. I had woven around all Mäori to hold them keep them protected, safe, and this I would always hold until my time was done. This leadership would have me alone in this sense for the rest of my life.
